08:39 pm It seems that I haven't been writing anything here lately.. ..And even now I can't really to think of anything interesting to write. XD I've been sort of tired and out of energy lately. Buut.. I guess that's how I usually am, anyway. orz It snowed a little here today! I like snow.. at first. Then it just gets tiring. :'D I'm currently playing Tales of Symphony: Dawn of the New World, and Suikoden IV. But I'm eagerly waiting for Tales of Graces.. Even though it hasn't even been released in Japan yet. But I'm pretty sure a PAL version will come sooner or later! But I bet I'll totally spoil myself about all the plot twists before that Mieliala: indifferent

04:57 pm I had a great time at the Book Fair! ♥ I really enjoyed working there! It was my first time as a member of the staff.. It was really cool, I wouldn't mind doing it again some time. :] All the other staff members, and the cosplay contestants were really nice people! ♥ And that marks the end of the cosplay season of this year. Next up is an event called the Cosplay Gala, which will be held on February(in the middle or winter, great. xD). Me and my best friends already have something planned for the group competition there, but I won't be talking about it juuuust yet. :3 Tags: conventions, cosplay

05:45 pm Yesterday, I went Air Rifle shooting for the first time in 10 months. My skills have gotten a little rusty.. But not too badly! I think I'll go to the shooting range more frequently from now on. :3 Yesterday, my staff badge for Helsinki Book Fair arrived ♥ I will be guiding the participants of the cosplay 'show' contest. My friends will be in charge of the participants of the World Cosplay Summit preliminaries , coool~ I.. don't really have much to write about right now. XD I miss the forum of Curious?.. *addicted* I hope it'll be back online soon, but I understand website maintenance can take time. :3

05:40 pm It's been raining for most of the day today~ I love rainy weather! Well, it wasn't that pleasant when I went for a walk with my dog, though. My sneakers are so old and worn-out that the water came right through them.. ^^; Meh. I downloaded GIMP today, it seems to be a good program for making graphics! I bought a lot of candy today.. And I don't even particularly like candy. B-but the grocery store had a special offer to celebrate their opening! I think I'll end up giving most of them to my dad. Mieliala: hyper

04:02 pm My mom is getting a puppy tomorrow ♥ I'll probably see it on friday. I can't wait! Puppies are so adorable. XD My summer vacations ends next week. Hmm. I'm not even sure what time my school starts. I think the day is the 13th, though. I'm guessing I have to go there either 8 am or 9 am, to greet the new students or something, since I'm a tutor student. But before that, I have some stuff coming up! First, a Hetalia picnic on Saturday, and then a Hetalia photoshoot on Monday.. I'll be cosplaying France for both. I don't think I'll cosplay from Hetalia after this anymore. And surely won't be wearing my France costume, wearing the same costume multiple times gets very boring, even if it is only for an occasion like a picnic.. 07:58 pm I visited a local amusement park today. I didn't go to any rides, just walked around and ate some ice cream. :3 I've been having pretty messed up/creepy/scary dreams as of late. They've made me wake up in the middle of the night. This is usually very rare for me! I guess I've been reading too many detective novels or something. Last night I dreamt that I was Linton (my favorite character from the book Wuthering Heights. The other characters are also from the same book). Heathcliff had taken Edgar(Heathcliff hates Edgar) as a prisoner, and was just about to iron some clothes(don't ask..), when I happened to say something moderately nice to Edgar(it was something like "Do you need a pillow?"). Heathcliff didn't like that, and said "Linton, come over here.." In a threatening voice, with the iron in his hand. I refused, and began backing away. But he followed me, caught up to me with a few steps, grabbed my arm, and pressed the hot iron against my hand. O_o It was very painful, but he wouldn't let go, and... then I woke up. Thank goodness. XD Yeah, I also read Wuthering Heights recently. I just finished it two days ago. I really enjoyed it, and liked many of the characters, even though many of them we're portrayed as unpleasant people with many flaws etc. Mieliala: indifferent

05:11 pm Time for a con report! So, I went to Desucon, which was held in Lahti, Finland(duh). On Saturday, me and my friends cosplayed from Gurren-Lagann, like I've said before. The day was.. Well, our average convention day, we left at around 4 pm. The weather wasn't kind to us, when we were standing outside in the line for tickets, it rained pretty heavily.. v_v I'm so glad we had at least one umbrella with us. The weather was also very windy, and to me, it was freezing cold outside. XD Sunday.. Was like, the best con' day ever! Y'know, we were supposed to cosplay from Persona 3.. Our costumes only lacked some finishing touches. But on friday, we decided that we'd actually like to cosplay from Hetalia instead, and proceeded to ditch our P3 costumes. :'D We decided to be Poland(me), Austria, and Sealand, because they're costumes were fairly easy/I already had some fitting stuff in my wardrobe, and we had the hair/wigs for them. And they all were one of their respective cosplayer's favorite characters~ So Saturday evening and Sunday morning were filled with panicked costume-making. *dies from overwork.. again* That explains why our cosplays weren't perfect. :'D I kinda ran out of fabric, so my pants were full of random seams.. bah. Er, back to the actual convention! We had already noticed the previous day that there were lots of Hetalia cosplayers around.. Most of them were there on Sunday, as well! <3 We proceeded to hang out together for most of the day. We also had this big photoshoot~ The day even further strenghtened my opinion about Hetalia fans being totally awesome people. <3 I think I was the first Poland cosplayer in Finland, by the way. \o/ gooooo me! Photo post will come later today! I'm still trying to find some good photos from our photoshoot. ^^ I'm feeling all hyper right now.. but at the same time, very depressed, because the convention's over. 07:59 am - Convention fever! *wipes sweat from her forehead* Man, I've been working my ass off for the past few days! And now, our cosplays are about complete.. With the exception of my Timeskip Yoko cosplay. I still need to make the bikini top, finish the boot covers, and paint some stuff.. x_x But that's not much, rright? *dies from massive overwork* My last week of school was uber-stressing, and my first week of vacation has been filled with cosplay stuff. Next week I'm going over to my grandparents' summer home to earn some easy money~ I think I'll mostly do sewing and gardening work there. After that.. I must begin making our next cosplays(for me: Kitaniji from TWEWY, Schneizel from Code Geass, and Prussia from Hetalia. for friends: Sho and Konishi from TWEWY, Jeremiah and Lloyd from Code Geass, and Denmark and Germany from Hetalia)! x_X Oh well. Well-planned is half-finished, as I always say. Which means I'll probably draw all the patterns next week, if I have time. I really love making patterns! It's one of my favorite school subjects, actually.. I can't remember the last time my summer vacation has been this 'stressful'! It's times like these when I'm very thankful for my positive attitude, haha! I should get to cleaning my room.. My friends are coming over this weekend, because the convention is held near my city. <3 Er.. You know what sucks? Weather forecast has promised rain and coldness for this weekend. :| Not the best weather for revealing costumes >_>''' Okay, I'm off now! I'll probably be posting some sort of a report + photos on Monday. ^_^ It.. it's the only free day I have before I have work in the middle of nowhere. Without a computer. 05:19 pm Happy IDAHO! (International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia ) <3 So.. Finland came in last place in the finals of Eurovision Song Contest. ^^; Oh well, I think it was good that they at least got through the semifinals! :3 The song was okay, but I found their performance to be somewhat lacking.. It could've used more energy or something. XD Norway deserved to win, I really liked the song! ^^ I went to see Angels and Demons with three friends yesterday. I really enjoyed it. Two of my friends were annoyed by some things, because they've read the book. I'm kinda glad I didn't have time to finish the book yet! I only got to somewhere around page 180. Assassin was totally different from the book version.. But I kinda thought of him as a completely different and new character, so it was cool. XD I also made pepper steak(..or just steak, because I didn't put enough pepper in them) with sauce for the first time that day, and the sauce turned out great! My friends and mom really liked it, as well! Beforehand I was afraid I'd manage to make something completely horrifying. But when I began making it, I just decided not to follow the recipe, and added things in completely random amounts! And it worked. XD I'm so proud of myself! My hidden cooking skills have emerged! hee hee. I now feel like cooking more of something completely new to me! ^-^ It was fun. Mieliala: hyper

07:10 pm ahh! Only a month(okay, two days less than a month) until the next convention - which is quite a promising one, might I add. They have Toory Furuya as a special guest! Y'know, the seiyuu of Tuxedo Mask(Sailor Moon), Yamcha(Dragon Ball), Amuro Ray(Gundam) and most recently Ribbons(Gundam 00)! Awesome. I hope I'll be able to get his signature. Or at least see him. ^^ A month means.. There's not much time to make cosplays! XD Oh well, I'm used to last-minute working. It's a good way to get all hyped up, actually. My friends' costumes are much more complicated than mine, but they're still pretty easy to make. My Takaya(Persona 3) is pretty much finished, because the only piece of clothing he wears is.. jeans. Of course, I need to cover my chest with bandages. He also has this random rag hanging from his waist. o_O I have the fabric for that ready as well. My other, 'decided a month before the con'(With multiple day conventions, one of my cosplays is usually this way XD) cosplay this time is Timeskip!Yoko(Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann), which is also very simple. I can't wait to make my first real boot covers ever! I already have the right leather for it..I just have to kill some oversized leather pants, hahaha. Yes, cosplay babble is all I have to offer now. 07:18 pm I'm.. still alive. XD I've been a little stressed with school. Today I've been like, super-tired for some unknown reason! O_o I spent most of my school day dozing off ^^; I still haven't gotten around to post Hong Kong related photos! I should be doing that sometime soon. There was a "fashion night" event in my town last friday. I was a model in the opening fashion show. ^ I designed and made the outfit myself~ My hair was done by a hairdresser. 05:14 pm So, I'm back! Well, been back in Finland since Tuesday, but I haven't had the energy to really come online like this until now. I'm tired as heck even now, though.. Yeah, I'm still(or again?) sick. x_x The trip? It was cooooool, the weather was kind to us! It rained only once, and it stopped after half an hour or so. My favorite area was Mong Kok, because it had all the anime/manga stuff. XD I'd write a lot more, but.. I feel quite sleepy right now. x_x I'll post some photos of Hong Kong, and the stuff I bought from there ^^ Too bad I ran out of money, I would've bought sooo much more! *_* Mieliala: sleepy

09:53 am Tomorrow I'm off to Hong Kong! I'm gonna shop 'til I drop and party all night lo~ong(well, maybe not)! haha. Which means I probably won't be coming online until next week's wednesday. 06:32 pm - *dies* Ahh! I'm feeling so very happy right now, I can't describe it! Our group [We cosplayed as Sakuraba, Takami, and Ikari from Eyeshield 21] was chosen as one of the finalists of the cosplay competition we took part in yesterday. Our contestant no. was 3(and no. 1 never showed up..), so we got to see almost everyone else's costumes, and doubted we'd be chosen as finalists, because there were so many great cosplays! Then.. when they began calling out the finalists, the first number called was... 3(by the way, the finalists weren't even called out in numerical order or anything. O_o Just.. randomly? XD). We were pretty damn surprised, haha. The finalists all got free movie tickets! <3 We'll be saving them for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. For the rest of the day, I kept smiling like an idiot. I'm actually smiling right now, as well. There's now an online voting going on, it lasts until April 1st. I don't think we'll be in the top three, but.. 08:03 pm my half-sister sent us this religious magazine called 'prayer friends', and me and dad were wondering for a second, what for.. Then I opened it and on the first spread there was an article about my sister's breast cancer, and how se found religion because of it.. She had the cancer a couple of years ago, and is completely over it, but I almost cried while reading it, anyway. ^^' I'm so emotional nowadays, for some reason . . . Or maybe I've always been like that. XD hehe. In two weeks, I'll be happily.. *looks at the time and counts* Uh, sleeping in Hong Kong. XD I'm getting pretty hyped up about it.. Hong Kong, that is, not sleeping. ..Okay, another rather pointless entry, yay! I'll try to sketch something for next time, to make my journal a little more interesting.. :'D Mieliala: thoughtful
